This route leads to Sky Mountain Park and can easily be extended to include a trek along Skyline Ridge Trail if you’d like. If you’re hoping to get up close to Aspen groves in the fall, hike your way along the Tom Blake Trail while you’re here. This trail intersects with the Tom Blake Equestrian Trail for those who are looking to expand their mode of transportation to horseback! Craving a hike that keeps you close to the Snowmass Ski Area? Try Ditch Trail and enjoy an easy and flat pathway to follow that heads around the backside of the ski section and offers up great vistas out and over Snowmass Creek Valley too.

There are typically daily special events hosted at the rink making time on the ice that much more exciting for the entire family! 

Take a Ride on the Elk Camp Gondola 

When you’re looking to savor the sights in Snowmass without the costs oftentimes associated with multiple days of skiing, buying a single-ride ticket for the Elk Camp Gondola is a great choice! This 8-person gondola departs from Snowmass Base Village and makes its way up nearly 10,000 feet towards Elk Camp Meadows. From the gondola, guests can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding terrain, all from a bird’s eye perspective. The ride up is approximately 14-minutes total, but the glimpses of the Maroon Bells in the distance are sure to last a lifetime. At the summit, guests can take time to explore the restaurants and shops that are well within reach. It’s a vibrant area that’s fun to explore, even when you’re not looking to purchase anything or dine.
