Enjoy the Snowmass Balloon Festival

A fall trip to Snowmass is a chance to enjoy time at the annual Balloon Festival! In 2022, this iconic event will be celebrating its 47th year of dazzling sky-high displays and will run between September 16th and September 18th. Three days of morning balloon launches are waiting to be enjoyed in tandem with a Friday evening Balloon Night Glow event that you won’t want to miss. The Balloon Festival is held at Snowmass Town Park and there is a free shuttle service through the village to Town Park that makes it convenient to access. After viewing the early morning launch, guests are invited to enjoy a savory breakfast or brunch in good company.

Snowmass, Colorado is a captivating destination for outdoor adventurers year-round. However, if you have a passion for hiking, fall is a season that offers up mild temperatures and scenic terrain to make for an unforgettable experience outdoors. Those looking to include the most iconic hiking destinations in the area in their itinerary won’t want to leave Maroon Bells off the list. Considered one of the most photographed places in the nation with good reason, Maroon Bells is a beautiful and exciting place to lace up your boots and hit the trails in style this fall. Following Maroon Creek Road, Maroon Bells are located about 15 miles from Snowmass. A hike this way leads to Maroon Lake where adventurers can spend time admiring the water or snapping photos of their surroundings. Checking out nearby Crater Lake is equally appealing and worthwhile. This route is exciting for hikers of all ages and abilities as it can easily be customized to their pace preferences.

Wine enthusiasts heading to Snowmass this fall won’t want to skip the annual Snowmass Wine Festival while they’re in town. Hosted by the Rotary Club of Snowmass Village, this annual event is in its 20th year in 2022! The festival is held at Town Park and can be accessed using the complimentary shuttle services that run through the village. Guests excited to make the most of wine tasting must be 21 or older, but there are plenty of other delights to be savored along the way as well. The Snowmass Wine Festival hosts more than 20 tables of food featured by local restaurants in addition to over 35 wine vendors from across the globe. In 2022, the event will be held on September 16th and September 17th. The festivities kick off with a 4-course wine dinner at the Viceroy Snowmass on Friday at 6:30 pm and the fun continues into Saturday with wine tastings across Town Park. The wines on-hand come from across the nation and globe giving wine experts and novices alike reasons to try something new. Those who buy tickets for this fall event will be pleased to know that all of the proceeds go to local scholarships and international grants given through the Snowmass Rotary.
