Light Up the Night at Snowmass Chapel, Dates TBD
They haven’t announced this year’s dates as of yet, but Light up the Night at Snowmass Chapel has been a traditional event that generally takes place in the first week of December, and the display continues through mid-February. Offering professionally decorated trees (50 in total), holiday music, cookies and cocoa, and a variety of inflatables that will help all attendees find their holiday spirit, this annual event has only been darkened during the COVID years. Santa and Mrs. Claus never miss this fun event, giving the kiddos the opportunity to whisper in his ear all the toys they want for Christmas, making it popular with the tiniest travelers as well.
12 Days of Aspen Christmas, Various Locations in Aspen, December 20th-December 31st
Christmas means a lot to us, and for the last 12 days of December, we offer a variety of celebrations, most of which revolve around the Aspen Holiday Market. Offering a variety of opportunities to participate in Christmas activities, visitors can enjoy festive crafting, allowing the kiddos to create gifts for their parents, enjoy cookies and cocoa at the Aspen Art Museum, and devour special Christmas feasts at local restaurants. The best part of the 12 days of Aspen Christmas, however, is the outdoor Aspen Holiday Market, offering even more ways to enjoy the lights and celebrate the season, with some of our favorite activities listed below.
- Make Your Own Ornament Stations – Even though you are far from home over the Christmas holidays, you can still buy a small tree to decorate your holiday haven, and the make your own ornament stations are a fun way to trim that tree.
- Cookie Decorating Booths – This is another thing you can do at home in the fully equipped kitchen of your Christmas condo, but there really is truth to the words, “the more the merrier,” and there’s no mess to clean up after!
- North Pole with Santa – No, we aren’t going to send you to the real North Pole for this next holiday market activity, but a North Pole set with Santa will feel real and magical.
