Local Restaurants in Snowmass, Colorado

Millions of people flock to Snowmass and Aspen every year to enjoy the winter slopes and enjoy a perfect winter vacation. Many are worried about where to stay and what to do, but most forget to figure out which restaurants they want to visit. To help plan your next Snowmass trip, here are what we consider as the top five best Snowmass restaurants.

The Edge Restaurant & Bar

The Timberline Condominiums is proud to invite guests to our on-site restaurant, The Edge Restaurant, and Bar. Chef Jason DeBacker’s German background influences an Alpine-Inspired menu that will delight your taste buds; we invite our guests to savor our fondue with cuts of baked bread, fresh green apples, and sausage, homemade German-style wursts, and our signature schnitzel. The Edge’s bar compliments traditional cuisine with local and German beer, fine wines, and craft cocktails.

Stark’s Alpine Grill

Stark’s Alpine Grill is located at Viewline Hotel in the Snowmass Mall and is a great choice for dinner with friends and family. The former Silvertree Hotel has been totally renovated into a sleek and contemporary slopeside hotel and features a whole new concept restaurant. Stark’s Alpine Grill features an American-style menu that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and features upscale versions of your favorite foods.

TORO Kitchen and Lounge

TORO Kitchen and Lounge is a relatively new restaurant in Snowmass. This amazing restaurant is a sleek concept that features contemporary Latin American cuisine and replaced the Eight K restaurant. Chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval created amazing Pan-Latin-inspired dishes that are a must-try. The menu draws inspiration from the flavors of various Latin American regions. Their menu features selections like grilled steaks and fish that are made from the finest and freshest ingredients available. Chef Sandoval also tries to obtain all ingredients from organic, sustainable, and grass-fed products that are locally sourced from Colorado producers. To cap off this amazing meal, make sure that you grab a hand-crafted cocktail or barrel-aged spirit at the bar to end the day in a perfect way.

NEST Bar and Grill

NEST Bar and Grill is a perfect complement to the traditional restaurant options in Snowmass. Rather than being open for all meals of the day, NEST specializes in lunch and après ski. NEST is open from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm daily and features a menu that specializes in healthy and fresh options that help you fuel up for the slopes or wind down before dinner. Their menu starts with four different starting options like shrimp cocktail and smoked and grilled chicken wings along with a selection of fresh salads and warming soups. If you are looking for more of a filling option, their sandwiches are the way to go. These options typically change seasonally but are always delicious. One of our seasonal favorites is their fresh take on the lobster roll with locally sourced bread and amazing bits of tender lobster. Reservations are not required at NEST, but if you have a large party, it is recommended that you call ahead as their restaurant does not have the largest seating space.

Dining in Snowmass at Krabloonik

Krabloonik has been a staple of the Snowmass restaurants scene for over 40 years and is loved by both visitors and locals alike. The restaurant looks like a cozy log cabin and features amazing options for both lunch and dinner. Krabloonik is a very unique dining experience as the restaurant also has a dog sledding service in which you can group dining and tour packages together. They offer amazing dog sledding tours in which they provide you with an amazing meal on your tour or you can choose to dine in their restaurant after your tour is completed. If a whole tour is not in your wheelhouse, you can always visit the dogs pre- or post-meal just to get your daily allotment of cute animals. Krabloonik recently came under new ownership and features a new chef who has created a whole new game-centric menu that displays the flavors around Snowmass. Some of these options include wild mushroom soup, elk tenderloin, pan-roasted rabbit loin, smoked rainbow trout filet, and the popular cedar plan roasted salmon.
