In 2021, the only difference will be the elimination of the family fun zone as the concert series works hard to remain a safe and healthy place to enjoy Independence Day entertainment. Guests should be sure to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair to make the event more comfortable. Transportation to and from the event is made simple with RFTA bus service running from Aspen to the Snowmass Mall as well as the village shuttle service readily available throughout Snowmass.

Fridays on the Mall

If you get into town early this 4th of July and are planning on spending the entire holiday weekend in Snowmass, be sure not to miss out on Fridays on the Mall when you’re here! Aspen 4th of July Celebration

Snowmass and Aspen are wonderfully interconnected and not difficult to move between, which makes Aspen’s 4th of July fun just as accessible as the fun waiting for visitors to Snowmass. If you’re looking to expand on the Independence Day itinerary, the Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration hosted in Aspen this year is sure to please. Activities that define this well-loved event include everything from parades and live music to a kid’s carnival, food, entertainment, and beyond! Activities center around Durant Avenue, and when the sun goes down, visitors can settle in for a fantastic fireworks display to top off their holiday getaway experience.

Snowmass 4th of july

Mention Snowmass, Colorado and it’s likely that visions of soaring mountain peaks and spectacular slopes covered in fresh powder spring to mind. While this is certainly a world-class destination for skiing adventures, it’s also a romantic locale where couples looking to rekindle the flame will find plenty of things to do in Snowmass for making the absolute most of their date night plans. Whether you’re a couple that prefers to be in the great outdoors together or a pair with a passion for great food and restorative moments, Snowmass has a little something for everyone. When you’re putting together that date night itinerary, don’t leave the following hotspots off the list.

Enjoy Time Hiking Together

For the outdoor adventurer, a date night in Snowmass should definitely revolve around time spent on the trails together, and the Maroon Lake Scenic Trail is a fantastic place to begin. This particular trail leads hikers towards what is often referred to as one of the most photographed destinations in all of Colorado! Amazing views are yours for the enjoying as you conquer this 1-mile loop hand-in-hand. The pathway sweeps around the lake and provides an unsurpassed vantage point over the water. Couples that enjoy wildlife spotting will want to bring their binoculars as this area is often a hotspot of activity.

Slow Your Roll at the Bowling Alley

Sometimes, a little friendly competition and a relaxed atmosphere are all it takes to make date night memorable. When you and your loved one find your stride in this environment, head over to the Snowmass Lanes & Lounge for a night of bowling and beer! Conveniently located on Daly Lane in Snowmass Village, this bowling alley is proud to hold the title of the highest elevated bowling alley in all of America. While you’re here, you can take your date night beyond the first frame and enjoy time playing pool, trying your hand at foosball, or even competing at the electronic dartboards!

Team Up with Blazing Adventures

When adventure calls your name on date night, but you could use a little guidance along the way to make the most of the experience, teaming up with the professionals at Blazing Adventures is always the way to go. This premier provider of outdoor recreation opportunities is headquartered in the center of Snowmass Village and can help couples set up an amazing rafting tour in the summer, or a snowshoe hike if your date night falls during the winter months. They specialize in custom adventures, so nothing is really out of reach. Pick and choose your fun as you create a one-of-a-kind date night experience you won’t soon forget!

Visit Penny Hot Springs

When you’re looking to enjoy a date night together that focuses more on restoration and relaxation over adrenaline-pumping fun, a trip to the hot springs is well-deserved. While there are plenty of options to choose from in the Snowmass area and surrounding communities, Penny Hot Springs is always a good place to add to the list of must-visit destinations. This naturally-fed mineral water pool is situated between Carbondale and Aspen just along the border of the Crystal River. Thrilling mountain peaks and captivating canyons dot the surrounding terrain, making your time in the hot springs that much more inspiring. Penny Hot Springs is approximately 20 feet across, providing plenty of space for exploring the water. While many people make their way here in the summer and spring, winter is a spectacular time to plan a hot springs date night when you’re looking to contrast the cold with a steam-filled experience.

Order a Romantic Meal

There’s nothing more romantic than a delicious meal enjoyed next to the one you love most. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a date night without a savory moment or two woven into the experience! When you’re looking for a fantastic fare to celebrate your time together, ordering up a meal from The Artisan and enjoying it in the comfort of your vacation rental is the way to go. The Artisan is located within The Stonebridge Inn and provides guests with seasonal, gourmet dining options to delight in. Dinner service is available Thursday through Monday from 5:30 pm until 9:30 pm and guests can enjoy selections that include everything from grilled artichoke hearts and BBQ chicken flatbread to glazed Colorado trout and potato gnocchi. Whatever you order up, don’t forget to pair it with a bottle of wine from this restaurant’s extensive and impressive list.

Another great spot for a romantic meal is our very own on-site restaurant, The Edge! Be sure to visit during your stay for incredible cuisine in a comfortable environment.
