Snowcat Dinners Mid Mountain
One of the coolest nighttime adventures is a snowcat dining experience. Aspen Skiing Co. will host trips up to the Lynn Britt Cabin three nights a week, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, for dinner as part of this popular winter event. The Wednesday event is more tailored to younger children and families, with kid-friendly fare and entertainment. Children as young as 3 are welcome on the Tuesday and Thursday outing, but mini grilled cheese and live sing-a-longs are not on the menu. All trips leave from Base Village via a snowcat that travels guests up to the rustic cabin for dinner. The Wednesday trip departs at 4:45 and returns at about 7:30 p.m.; the Tuesday and Thursday trips leave at 6 and are back around 9 p.m. This is a great nighttime adventure for families and adults alike.
Moonlit Trek and Dinner
Dancing in the moonlight sounds fun but skiing or snowshoeing in the moonlight sounds better. After two sold-out events during its inaugural season last winter, the decision to bring back the event was simple. This community event involves the participation of several organizations in the village, including Snowmass Tourism, the Snowmass Cross Country Center, Andersen Ranch, and the Snowmass-Wildcat Fire Protection District. On select Saturdays that fall on or near full moons, take advantage of the moonlight and snowshoe or cross-country ski a 1.2-mile trail around the Snowmass Golf Course, then enjoy a pasta buffet dinner at the Black Saddle Bar & Grille. This nighttime adventure has been heralded as a must visit and spectacular way to experience beautiful Snowmass. The Moonlit Trek and Dinner events are open to adults and children as young as 5. Reservations are required and equipment rentals are available via Snowmass Cross Country Center.
Snowmass Nightlife at Belly Up Aspen
Belly Up Aspen is an amazing concert venue and bar that hosts amazing concerts and events every year. Belly Up continues to bring in the best acts, including recent concerts with The Killers, Widespread Panic, The Chainsmokers, Jack White, Lil Wayne, The Avett Brothers, Joe Walsh, John Legend, Snoop Dogg, Bassnectar, B.B. King, Phoenix, Twenty One Pilots, The National, Kygo, Justice, and Jimmy Buffet. Belly Up has shows for various age ranges, so make sure that you check the event calendar prior to purchasing tickets. Their shows range between all ages, 18 and older, or 21 plus. When you purchase your tickets, you can buy them for general admission or reserved. Most of the tickets are general admission, but for a higher price you can buy the reserved tickets. These reserved tickets get you into a section that has 11 tables and railing seats on the second floor overlooking the stage and dance floor. If you want an assigned seat, make sure that you go with this ticket option.
Ajax Tavern
Say “apres-ski,” and most people picture something strikingly similar to Ajax Tavern – glamorous yet easy. You can see Ajax Tavern’s sun-drenched mountainside patio from halfway up the mountain, a simple target for lunch or cocktails among the Aspen Snowmass nightlife. Arrive and let the people-watching begin because there is no better seat in town. Located at the base of Aspen Mountain and next to the Silver Queen Gondola, Ajax Tavern is the restaurant in Aspen for casual fine dining in an unbeatable atmosphere. The Tavern comes to life at lunch, and the party rolls on well into the night.
Escobar Aspen
Looking for an energetic nightclub experience where the drinks are flowing, and the music is hypnotic? Escobar is the place to be! The venue itself is small, allowing patrons to let go and truly immerse themselves in the atmosphere. Revel in the reverberations of electronic music spun by the hottest DJs, indulge in some creative cocktails and connect with the Aspen Snowmass nightlife scene on a new level. The underground nightclub opens at 9 pm, but you can also sit at their outdoor patio bar to enjoy a few drinks in a quieter atmosphere.
