Edge Prix fixe Summer Menus 2019

This year The Edge Restaurant and Bar is doing something totally different! There will be a themed Prix Fixe menu each week. The list below tells you what you can expect throughout the summer and the detailed menu for even theme can be found on The Edge's website

June 21-29 Summer solstice Midsummer   On the first day of summer let us celebrate.

July 2-6 Independence Day   We will learn how the American Hamburger and Hot Dog have roots in Germany. Heard of the city called Hamburg?  How about Frankfurt. Frank fritter. How about the Austrian city Wien? Vienna in English, but we call it a wiener.

July 9-13 Mozart   During the month of July we will focus on what the famous composers from northern Europe would eat to correspond to the Aspen Music school. What did Amadeus eat while composing the Magic Flute?

July 16-20 Beethoven   What was Ludwig eating to inspire Für Elise or his Symphony #9?

July 23-27 Bach     When Johann was writing his famous Toccatas and Cantatas what was keeping him nourished through all that creativity?

July 30-August 3 Spartan Games    We will keep all the competing “Spartans” well fed to navigate any obstacles Snowmass Village can throw at them.

August 6-10 Stone Fruit Harvest   Colorado is home to some exceptional fruits from the western slope. We will utilize them to the best of our abilities. Peaches, nectarines, apricots, plums, and pluots will be everywhere, especially the Strudel.

August 13-18   Big Mountain Enduro Race   Someone has to feed the extreme mountain bikers that will be blazing through the trails.

August 20-24    The debut of the first annual Edge Garlic Festival   We will have garlic everywhere for all your garlic needs. If you have not had garlic Bavarian cream or roasted elephant garlic with camembert, you are not living.

August 27-31 Labor Day JazzAspenSnowmass   Weezer and Sting will be here and I am sure they are hungry.

September 3-7 The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music   We will be cooking like Maria Vonn Trapp. That is a lot of kids to feed. Luckily, I have six kinder of my own to practice on.

September 10-14 Where the wine flows like the salmon of Capistrano   The Rotary club will have the annual Snowmass Village wine fest in Town Park. After drinking all day, we would like to help you wrap up your evening with a memorable dinner.

September 17-28 Oktoberfest   We will finish up the month with our annual Oktoberfest. Steins of Bier and hearty food just like they would serve King Ludwig II in Bavaria.
