For a different experience, dress in layers of your Easter best and attend sunrise service on top of Aspen Mountain. If there’s snow on the ground, you can opt to ski down, or you can ride the gondola at a special rate. Make sure to bring a blanket or chairs to sit on during the service. If you’re not interested in an outdoor service, churches hold services indoors on their own properties as well. Make sure to bring a mask.

Easter Brunch

There are many and varied tastes to experience in and around Snowmass during your vacation. Hot Air Balloon Ride

Sail high above the mountains and trees of Snowmass. Enjoy the world’s first mode of air transportation with a hot air balloon ride. Above It All Balloon Co. offers flights that take you around the Aspen/Snowmass area. You’ll see sights like Snowmass Brush Creek Valley and other lower and more western mountains. The pilot may plan this tour, but keep in mind the balloon goes as the wind blows. Flights always take off at sunrise, but the beautiful Colorado landscape guarantees it’s worth the early start. Flights last about three hours and land at the original takeoff site, where you’ll enjoy a champagne toast to celebrate after the landing.
