Enjoy playing golf? Snowmass and the surrounding Roaring Fork Valley is home to extraordinary golfing. You'll be able to enjoy these great courses and view spectacular mountain scenery. From public to private courses, there is a wide selection of nearby courses. Here are a few courses listed in order of proximity to our Snowmass condos.
The Snowmass Club – An 18-hole, par 72 golf course, the Snowmass Club golf course is surrounded by incredible views and was voted the “Best New Course” by Colorado Golf Magazine. Amenities include a practice area, golf clubhouse, a bar & grill, lessons and a learning center. Jim Engh designed the course which is known for having a challenging landscape. Tee times are available for the general public from 1pm with the driving range, putting green and short-game practice areas being available to golfers one hour before tee time. www.snowmassclub.com
The Aspen Golf Club – The Aspen Golf club is home to an 18-hole course just minutes from downtown Aspen, Colorado. Amenities include a club house, golf pro shop, lesson, putting greens, driving range, cart rental and locker facilities. Lessons are available. This course is known for having achieved a high degree of environmental quality. The course of open from dawn to dusk, 7 days a week from April 1 until mid-Fall. www.aspenrecreation.com
Roaring Fork Club – A private golf course located in Basalt, Colorado, the Roaring Fork Club is home to an 18-hole course designed by Jack Nicklaus. Amenities include a club house, restaurant, pro shop, lessons, driving range and putting green. www.roaringforkclub.net
Aspen Glen Club – An 18-hole golf course along the Roaring Fork River located between Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, the Aspen Glen Golf Course is one of the best in the Rocky Mountains. www.aspenglen.com
Prefer Frisbee golf? Snowmass is home to an a 36 hole on mountain disc golf course. Start at the Burlingame lift and play the course down to Snowmass Village Mall. The course is free, but you need to bring your own discs. You can purchase or rent discs at Four-Mountain Sports in Snowmass. Check out the SnowMassive Open Disc Golf Tournament in June in order to watch the professionals at work as they play 54 holes of disc golf in the Rocky Mountains. www.snowmassvillage.com/frisbee-disc-golf
